The company name Jolee was derived from the combination of the names John and Lily; a married couple living in the heart of Accra, Ghana. With culinary skills passed on from generations to generations, Jolee Bakery was initially founded in 1997 by a second generation baker; Lily Bour.

Lily found her interest in baking from her single mother during her teenage years. She later explored her interest which grew to become a passion for putting smiles on the face of her customers through hard-work and innovation.
From Ghana to the USA, Jolee Bakery has crossed borders to be known as Jolee Foods. After more than 25 years of operation, the company has braced itself to welcome the third generation.
